Well here we are again looking for interesting ufo stories. Those elusive ufos seem to be harder to spot in most places, as I have been saying for months now. But I think we have enough material this month for an article, if we include some golden oldies.

It seems that there were some files that were being held by the Ministry of Defense in England that were referred to as the British X-Files. These files have now been released to the public and there are some interesting things cited in them. By looking these files over, it is my understanding that you would have to come to the conclusion that a place named Loughton in Essex had the most ufo sightings in England. Some of the objects that were seen were a bit unusual themselves. There is a report of a worm shaped object that sort of wiggled around in the sky. This sounds like some sort of an exhaust pattern to me. It reminds me of sightings in Russia. These sightings worried the government very much at the time because they were really exhaust trails from rockets being launched from a secret base and of course the government wanted to keep these launches secret. Other reports indicated that there was a particular night, that of September 10, 2005, when a lot of sightings took place. The sightings were mostly those of orange lights in the sky. Some of the documents, which were released under the freedom of information act, spoke of black cigar shaped objects while others had the more usual sightings of triangular objects. The triangular object moved so fast that it could not have been any type of aircraft, at least that is the conclusion of some of the people that saw it. There were many sightings listed over London that defied explanation.

One has to wonder how many of us believe that ufos exist and if they are from other worlds? Well wonder no more, a recent Gallup poll indicated that 72% of all Americans believe just that. It seems that we Americans now believe that life exists on other worlds. We have accepted this and probably would accept meeting extra terrestrials, if they weren't too gruesome. Where did this belief come from? Some of it has to be attributed to the movies and tv shows that we have been bombarded with over the last 50 years showing all types of aliens and alien craft. Would you believe that there are people out there that actually believe that Stargate is based on a real device that allows travel between worlds? Just check this out with a search engine and you will be surprised. Some of us believe that Earth has been visited since before the human race even existed. Who can say if this is true or not? There are certainly some strange things on Earth that could be attributed to ancient astronauts, such as ancient maps that could only have been drawn from orbit and carvings that seem to be of people piloting space ships that are depicted in Mayan reliefs. Many people now believe that some ufos want to be noticed and that their pilots do certain things to reach this end. There are quite a few reports of ufos signaling to people on the ground with lights as people flash lights back at them. There are many other things that can't be explained.

It seems that over a hundred people in Tennessee saw ufos between 2004 and 2005. The vehicle that was seen was a large triangular shaped craft, the type that is often reported.

Another rectangular craft had been reported flying over Primrose Hill and St. John's Wood in England. The craft was reported as have red and green flashing lights. Later on in the year, another craft of the same shape was also observed in this area. The Ministry of Defence stated that they would only take action on a ufo if there was a threat and there has not been any up to this time. I would like to know what they think that they could do?

A spokeswoman for NASA stated that they had received some calls from people stating that they had seen a strange object in the sky. She couldn't account for the object or what it was, but she said that it was nothing that NASA was tracking. The object was very shiny and was spotted in the Texas skies.

Most people think that Roswell, New Mexico may have marked the first time that aliens were seen on the earth or that a ufo crashed. It is true that the Roswell story has become the most famous alien tale in all of ufology, but there may be another that happened before Roswell and that famous encounter. I am referring to the story that tells of an alien being buried in Aurora, Texas. The tale tells of a cigar shaped object, that was silver in color, that supposedly struck a wooden tower and exploded and burned. It was believed that the pilot was an alien and when he died, he was given a Christian service and buried in the Aurora cemetery. The accident is said to have taken place in 1897. When the burial site was investigated in 1970, it was noticed that the head stone contained a carving of the cigar shaped object on it. The strange part of all this is that in 1973 the head stone disappeared as did metal fragments from the accident or so it is said.
