What the heck is going on in Mexico and why isn't it big news in the U.S. ? Everyone seems to have been seeing UFOs in Mexico. By now most of us interested in this subject have seen at least some of the different footage taken down there of UFOs. Some of the sightings are one film with thousands of witnesses of the events.

"I see ufo's most days in an hour or so I take before work to watch "Live-cams" on Mexican volcanoes." This is from an email posted on Iwasabducted.com by Craig Bertok on February 20, 2002.

In PROGRESO, YUCATAN, on January 29, 2003, over 80 metal spheres were reported flying over the highway. It seems that many different drivers reported the events to the authorities, while in Mexico City, UFO sightings continue to be as common as dirt.

One of the highlights of the UFO sightings was the famous video of a close up of a UFO by some apartment buildings. Thousands saw it, yet you keep seeing the different opinions on the film and no one eludes to the witnesses. ( http://www.skiesare.demon.co.uk/ufopics.htm has video stills of the event and http://ufocasebook.com/bestufovideos2.html has the video. I can't post the images due to copyright restrictions, sorry). I wouldn't mind if the sighting was proven to be a hoax and that was proved, but I think when thousands of people see an event it would be nice to include their testimony in any evaluation of the facts. Some researchers treat the video as if it was taken in some isolated area with no one around. Its one thing when some guy is hiking out in the woods and states he saw a UFO and produces a video or a picture and quite another when a large group of people claim the same thing. It is also amazing to see that this is a non news event in this country. It seems to be well covered in Mexico though as this video was aired on Sunday, September 28, and on the following Sunday, October 5, 1997, from 7 to 8 p.m., by Mexican TV anchorman Jaime Maussan on his show "Tercera Milenio".

Now lets look at some group sightings in the good old US of A. Since 1987 slews of people have reported seeing UFOs in Gulf Breeze, Florida. So many sightings are taking place that Gulf Breeze is now known as a UFO hotspot. One thing though about Gulf Breeze that makes it different than Mexico City, as far as sightings are concerned, is the fact that a lot of military instillation are in the area. I am not saying that the UFOs which are being seen are not genuine UFOs, but I am saying that the fact of the existence of all those military bases does cast some doubt on the sightings. But fate is funny, even some military people on bases reported UFOs. It seems that some of the UFOs that were reported were of the saucer type and some were said to have blue lights, while others were "chevron-shaped" objects. Then there was Ed and Frances Walters. These Gulf Breeze were able to take over 40 pictures of UFOs. One picture showed a UFO with a blue ray being shot out of it. To this day their pictures are a topic of controversy, with many people claiming some of them are the best UFO pictures to date.

It almost seems that no where on earth is free from UFO sightings. You can almost always find people that have seen a UFO even if you never have, lets take Canada for example, and why not, since we seem to be concentrating on North America so far. The best place in Canada to see a UFO is British Columbia which had over one third of the reported sightings. It is reported that UFO sightings in Canada have increased by thirty percent. Every year for at least the last five years, the amount of UFO sightings has increased dramatically in Canada. Some interesting UFOs have been sighted, such as cylindrical white shapes in British Columbia and objects with windows and flashing lights in other areas. 2002 was the busiest year yet for Canadian UFO sightings.

So what does all this mean? Have thousands of people had mass hallucinations? It is just a bunch of nuts that have somehow gotten together for some sort of conspiracy? Are the sightings really military aircraft? I wish I had all the answers to the preceding questions, but some of them are so obviously impossible that we spot these right away. It is not a conspiracy because it is so wide spread and many of the people are known. For a conspiracy you need secrecy. As far as hallucinations, this can't be proven wrong but does seem absurd since sightings take place all over the world under different conditions. Now we get to my personal favorite, military aircraft. This would seem like a possibility but here are the reasons I can't believe this. Here is a list of reasons why I don't believe that ALL UFOs are military aircraft:

1. Sighting of UFOs have been ongoing for thousands of years.
2. The observed performance, even in the 1950s, was so far ahead of anything known that I have to believe it couldn't have been military aircraft.
3. Astronauts have reported UFO sightings. Chances are they would have been told not to talk about anything they saw because they were ours.
4. The release of the Majestic 12 documents which are looking more authentic every day. Click Here To See Them
5. Video's from the space shuttle showing something evading, what looks like a missile and other various UFO caught by the shuttle.
6. What might be ruins on Mars.
7. Malmstrom AFB, Montana. Several ICBMs were 'turned off' by a UFO that was seen by the personnel.
8. The Battle for Los Angeles. In 1942 an object hovered over Los Angeles. Since we were at war, batteries open up on it, hitting it with over two thousand shells, but to no avail.
9. The 1952 incident where several saucer objects were over the White House. This was reported by many of the nation's news papers.
10. The landing of a ufo on an American Air Force Base in England. Rendlesham Files

These are just some of the reasons I think there is something to be said for UFOs and why I believe there is a good chance that UFOs might be real.
