What exactly does ufo stand for? It stands for Unidentified Flying Object. So the question is, how can someone build a ufo? If they build it, it is no longer unidentified. But this little fact was not going to stop one particular Chinese citizen. This gentleman had decided to dedicate himself to building this vehicle. We all know that China is a relatively poor country right now although it is getting more prosperous. Money is hard to get a hold of. The man, who we will call Mr X, has founded an institution for ufo research in Anhui Province. What is different about this ufo is that it is to be used for Earth bound travel. It is not being designed to travel between the stars. Mr. X, some how has managed to pour over $48,000 U.S. dollars into this project. Half of this has come from one supporter. Some of the rest of the money has come from Mr X's farm hands which he is unable to pay, these are the ones that have stayed with him anyway. Mr. X states that a lot more cash will be needed. Others have been offering funds for the project that seems to be capturing the imaginations of some of the townspeople. What is even more astounding is the fact that Mr. X has no formal education in any fields that would be necessary to design an aircraft of any type, as a matter of fact he is a former maintenance man. He claims he has conducted a test in October with about twenty people watching. He says that the saucer got a little off the ground and sort of hovered for a few seconds before falling back down on the earth. That is earth as in dirt not Earth as in planet.
But what is the secret source of power for this machine? It is an old car engine of course Can you just imagine it, dozens of farmers streaking through the sky as their 1950 Ford engines putter away. I just can't see why more people wouldn't want to invest in this project? But is this really a flying saucer that residents are investing in, maybe it is really the future? Could it be that the farmers in that area really just feel sorry for Mr. X and don't want to see his dreams shattered? Well this really doesn't matter because Mr. X states that he will need more money to finish his project. He is now talking about purchasing an aircraft engine. It seem that the craft uses a rotor for propulsion. This has to make one think of the Avro-Car.
The Avro-Car was about 25 feet in diameter, and weighed about 3600 lb. The power was supplied by three centrally mounted gas turbine engines which were connected to a 5 feet diameter central fan. The fan allowed the craft to take off vertically and after it got airborne the exhaust was sent to the rear of the craft and that supplied the push The craft was unruly and not very good. Many people who study ufos cite the Avro-Car as a cover up project to hide the real development of saucer like craft by the government. A small model of the saucer has been built and it does hover, all though it also does wobble a lot, according to spectators. Another idea is creating a toy saucer. I am not sure if the proceeds are intended to fund the larger saucer or not, if the toy project is realized, but that may well be a way to do it. One never knows what the toy market will do. Can you imagine if the toy saucer catches on, it might generate millions of dollars, or on the other hand, it could be a flop. But lets assume for now it is met with at least moderate sales. Mr. X may well indeed get his airplane engine. Mr X has recently been hounded by the news media. He states that they are not giving him spiritual comfort because they are too skeptical. Gee I can't understand that. Having studied Mr. X's plans, I have an idea, but an old Avro-Car, you should be able to get on cheap. |
