World War II UFOs

Have you ever wondered why there was so many sightings of ufos during World War II? After giving this much thought, I concluded that there probably wasn't that many more ufos in the sky and I attributed the number of sightings to the vast amount of airplanes in the air at any given time. Think about it, we were sometimes sending out waves of maybe 1,000 bombers or more at a time, not to mention their escort fighters and the enemy fighters that came up to challenge them. Even without these waves of planes, we had many fighter wings and individual airplanes in the sky at any given time, as did the enemy. It only stands to reason that all these additional eyes in the sky would see more ufos. Besides all that, the ufos may have been more curious about what we were doing, so they may have made their presence known more frequently. There are some interesting sightings from World War II and it seems that everyone involved, thought at first that these ufos were from the other side. Eventually all parties realized that this wasn't the case. As a matter of fact, Italy under Mussolini had conducted ufo investigations since the mid 1930s. He was so interested in these things that he ordered the head of his air force to investigate them. I guess in this respect, Italy was ahead of everyone.

There have been many theories that state that the reason for the great advances in Nazi technology in World War II happened because aliens helped the Nazis. It is said that Dr. Hermann Oberth, a rocket pioneer who worked for the Nazis in their weapons program had stated, "We cannot take the credit for our record advancement in certain scientific fields alone; we have been helped." When he was asked who helped them it is said that he stated, "The people of other worlds." If these facts are true, then the aliens that helped the Nazis are no friends of mankind. Maybe they thought that they would get one world government this way and the humans would be easier to deal with, who knows? Let's take this a step further. Supposedly the Germans had found out about ancient unknown Earth civilizations that were very advanced, races that most of us know nothing about today. At least this is what some are saying. Some how they tied this in with the aliens and were able to make contact. Today we know that even though the fact is being withheld from us, NASA has found ruins on the Moon and on Mars, the evidence is becoming overwhelming. The German scientists that went into our space program after World War II, seemed to have known the locations of the ruins and Apollo, along with out probes went right to those spots. Is this a coincidence, you figure it out?

Leonard Stringfield, who later became a ufo investigator, talked about a sighting he made in 1945. It is eerily similar to the one made by Kehoe, who both described the objects as more like tear drop shapes than actually round. Today we have come to expect either triangles, cigar shaped ufos or what are commonly known as flying saucers or discs. These sightings were of neither, even though Kehoe's description caused the term "flying saucer" to be adopted by the press. Stringfield is famous today as the first ufo investigator to take ufo crash stories seriously and to investigate them. Maybe the most famous event for him was the crash at Roswell, where he was able to get a description of the alien bodies before anyone else.

Sometimes ufos caused quite a frenzy. An example is the famous "Battle of Los Angeles". It was a quite night in LA and then all hell broke loose. An object was spotted in the sky over the city. Everyone believed at the time that this was some sort of Japanese aircraft that was sent to bomb the city. The city was surrounded by artillery and anti-aircraft batteries. When the object was spotted and didn't respond, all the batteries around the city opened fire. About 2,000 shells were fired at the object for about an hour or a little more. The object calmly sat there in the sky over the city. Several powerful search lights were trained on it and it just didn't move. Shell after shell hit the object and any of the hits should have damaged it and the cumulative pounding should have brought it down. Instead it just hung there taking the hits with no obvious effect to its structure. After about an hour it silently and slowly glided off, totally unharmed. This was no Japanese bomber folks, as a matter of fact there was nothing in human technology that could have sustained these hits without damage. The object was a ufo that just decided to observe the city during war time and was shot at because of this. It never responded or caused damage of any kind to the city. Damage was caused however, by the falling shells that we were firing.

One of the more interesting aspects of the war, as far as ufos were concerned, were the advent of what is known today as Foo-fighters. When the war was raging and the allies thought that they were secret German weapons that had also nicknamed them "kraut fireballs", but they soon realized that these were not secret German weapons, but most likely remote controlled devices released from ufos to observe both sides during the war. Why were the aliens so interested in what was going on? Maybe it was the fact that so many things were being discovered and perfected. It might have been like a look back into history for them. We were using radar, jets, rockets and even working on nuclear energy. Could it be that most cultures come down the same path? What ever the reason was, there was no denying that they were interested. One Foo-fighter incident involves the 384th bomber group. They were flying on a bombing run in their B-17s. No enemy aircraft were seen in the area. This is an important fact as you will see as I go on. A group of flying discs was spotted and headed their way. Before the pilots could do anything about it, the discs had flown right through their formation without any ill effects to the planes. There had been a collision with one of the discs that hit the tail section of one of the bombers, yet nothing seemed to be damaged on either craft. Black debris could be seen on the ground, but there was no explanation of where it came from. Could the ufos have had a battle?

The US military was very interested in ufos in World War II. The reasons for this might not have been the same as the reasons would be today. The US military, faced with a whole slew of new German weapons, thought that ufos were some sort of new German weapon and wanted to know as much about them as they could find out. Today, since we know that this wasn't true, I am talking about the fact that ufos were German weapons, the emphasis has changed. The US government, contrary to all their statements, believes that ufos could be alien craft and is still vigorously investigating them. In the Pacific, during World War II, a cult developed among natives who had never seen airplanes before. They tried to copy them by making bamboo replicas and worshiped them. Could the German plans for flying discs, that everyone talks about, have been based on actual ufos that were observed in the sky? If this was the case that does not mean that they were actually capable of space flight or anything like that, they just had the same shape, because that was all that was known about ufos. Maybe they were being developed not to use for war, but to impress the aliens, so that they would make contact with the Germans? Picture this, a flight of disc shaped ufos comes over an area, a German disc shaped ufo goes up to meet them. Could this spark contact? Maybe!

There is usually more than one reason that can be assigned to something and the actions of ufos in World War II are no exception. We know that they had nothing to learn from us since they were so far advanced, or could this be wrong? Could a society develop that was thousands of years ahead of us, yet never had smashed the atom? What if they just didn't feel that this was the path to take and just never did it? They would have been completely justified, just look at the mess that this has gotten us into. Maybe that is why they are so interested in everything nuclear and maybe that is why they were watching the war so closely, because they knew that experiments were taking place that would ultimately lead to nuclear weapons. Another reason that they might have been watching us is that they didn't want the human race to be wiped out or even set back in their race for technology. Why would this be? We might be their relatives, or the result of their seeding the earth or some such thing. Maybe they are dying out and we were chosen to carry on, or maybe we were even their close allies millions of years ago in some war and got bombed back to the stone age causing the ruins on the Moon and Mars and they want us back with them. There are so many possibilities.

World War II saw extensive ufo contact and I am sure a lot was learned by our government. Everything that is happening with the government on the ufo question today had it's roots back in that war. Notice how we are developing things that have the same properties as the Foo-Fighters had then. I am talking about all the different remote devices that can fly at all different speeds. Was the war used to make us aware of the presence of ufos? It just might have been.
