UFO Update September 11, 2007
It seems that some people in the Ministry of Defence (MOD), in the UK, are not happy that they have to answer Freedom of Information requests for documents relating to ufos. One website has posted what it contends to be correspondence between someone who is obviously in charge of the department handling this and someone else who is also involved at a high level. Their names had been redacted. It seems that one was calling the requests for documents by the public "a guerrilla war". Oh well, I guess there is never enough staff to go around and this ties up the small staff that is available, so we have to forgive them. A mysterious object was sighted flying over Cottonwood, in Arizona, on August 3, 2007. Witnesses described the object as a small rocket about two feet long and said that it landed near the Verde River. A search was launched for the object, but nothing was found. There were two witnesses to the event. Officials at Luke Air Force Base said that they could shed no light on the subject and there are no flight paths over Cottonwood from the base. A recently released report by the Ministry of Defence showed that there were two ufo sightings this year in Manchester and four over Oldham, in the past eight years. One of the Manchester sightings was of three silver objects. The second was an orange ball. In Oldham the sightings were a group of five orange balls in 2006, a cigar shaped object in 2004 and 2000. The fourth object was seen in 1999 and was a bright white light. A mysterious object was photographed over Kaitaia in New Zealand on April 28, 2007. A photo of it was taken. It was one of those cases where a photo is taken, but when it is looked at, an object is in it that was never noticed at the time of the photography. In this case a man noticed the object when he looked at the photo he had snapped. One person thinks that the object is nothing more than the trail of a jet plane viewed on end. There was no plane in the area at that time, according to the air traffic controllers. So what is it? The matter is being investigated currently by Dr. Maccabee, a ufo photographic expert. There was a ufo sighting in Waldport, Oregon and the details were posted on 8 August, 2007. First a very loud noise was heard and then witnesses saw a ball of light crash into the ocean. A spokesman for the military replied that they often have planes flying over the area, but this doesn't seem to explain the fact that the witnesses saw an object crash into the ocean, because there is no report of a plane being lost. On July 15, 2007, a ufo was photographed while the photographer was in a plane flying at over 37,000 feet. He had noticed some interesting clouds and had his 10 megapixel Canon digital camera, so he decided to snap 20 photos. He believes that he was over Arkansas at the time. When he looked at the photos he was stunned. He had never seen the object that appeared in the photos. The object in the photo is disk shaped and about 1,000 feet in diameter, according to the photographer, but since he never actually saw it, it is hard to judge size just from the photos. Did you ever wonder how many ufo sightings were reported in Britain last year? Well wonder no more, there were 97 according to the Ministry of Defence. You have to remember that these were reported sightings and the estimate is that actual sightings are about seven times as many as what is reported. That means that Britain actually had about 697 ufo sightings last year. The reported sightings were down from 2005 when 128 sightings of ufos were reported. There was a ufo sighting in China in the sky over Changsha, which is the capital of China's Hunan province. It appeared on the evening of July 19, 2007. It was visible for about three minutes and then just blinked off. Witnesses stated that it was like someone turned a light off. Another ufo was sighted over Wexham in the UK. I can't seem to find when it happened, but I presume that it was this year. A gentlemen went out of his home for a smoke. He noticed something strange in the sky and got his wife. Seven lights were flying very fast over their house. They traveled so fast that they couldn't be focused on. He got his video camera and could see that the objects were glowing red and that two were flying around each other as they traveled across the sky. Another resident of the town phoned the police after he saw the same objects. The photograph taken of the Mt. Washington ufo in 1870 has hit the news again. Apparently this ancient photo had more secrets that no one noticed, until now. There is a symbol on the side of the ship and it looks an awful lot like a swastika, as a matter of fact one person on the internet insists that is what it is. Below is a photo of the ufo and another of the section containing the insignia. I enhanced it and made it a negative image to improve the contrast. While similar to a swastika, I think it is something else. Could this insignia, if that is what it is, have been added some time later? Sure, the photo has been on the internet for many years.
Left: UFO Another sighting in the UK occurred on August 2, 2007. This time a plane was passing by it and it was so large that the disk shaped ufo dwarfed it. It is believed that this giant craft was over one mile in diameter. The witness to this event got two other people and they all stared at it in amazement. Another huge saucer was seen in the UK at the beginning of the year. Curiously, an electronics hobbyist has built his own radar unit from a satellite dish and was able to view the giant disc on it. This has to mean that the authorities must have known it was there, because if he could pick up the object on his radar set, so could they. An educated guess by a witness put the vehicle at about a 7,000 foot altitude with a diameter of about a mile. A report has come out about the O'Hare ufo. The report is from the National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena (NARCAP). The O'Hare ufo was a round object that revolved and was gray in color. It was metallic and hovered over an airport gate used by United Airlines. Many different people were interviewed as to the sighting including people on the ground and people in the air. NARCAP suggested that the object hovering over a busy airport created a hazard to aviation and stated that a further investigation should be undertaken. Now that we are seeing all those British ufo reports being released, we can peruse them to find some of the most bizarre. The one that caught my eye was from last year. The MOD had received a report of a silver rotating pyramid. Gee this reminds me of the tv show Stargate. Along with this, there were reports of objects with green engines, a mother ship with two smaller orbs and other metallic spinning objects. It sounds like we are being visited from many different places. Ufos were sighted on 30 July, 2007 in the Ceashlau Massif near Durau in western Moldavia in Romania. The ufo seemed like a fireball except that it had a groove running down the center on the underside .It was seen hovering over a mountain then descending slowly behind the mountain. Under high magnification it seemed to be glowing and was the color of white hot metal, but it didn't look like a fireball anymore. A similar ufo, or even the same one, was seen over Poland a few months before. An interesting report report has been released by the MOD. Apparently a police helicopter was surrounded by flashing and pulsating red lights four years ago. The pilot heard all sorts or whirling noises. From what I understand, the Metropolitan Police Department is not willing to add anything to this. Is it a coincidence or what? There seems to be a lot of ufo sightings in Britain lately. Has the release of all those ufo documents by the MOD sparked the reporting of these sightings? On August 4, 2007, many reports were called in about a sighting. It was a formation above East Dulwich. One man said that he counted at least twenty intense lights. and that they passed directly overhead. The MOD remained silent on the matter. Another ufo was reported on as being seen on August 5, 2007, over Shirley Garden Centre. "At first I thought it was a plane or helicopter. However, the more I looked at it, the more I realized that there were no wings or any features. It was just a plain white oval object. The speed at which it was traveling told me that it wasn't a balloon either." These is the statement of a witness. The Russian news agency Interfax has reported that in the beginning of August, 2007, they received a report that a three ton rock was stolen. This isn't any rock, but the rock that was responsible for the 1908 Tunguska explosion over Siberia, according to its former owner. He believes that a ufo shot the rock down to protect itself and in so doing caused the famous explosion. He stated that he kept the rock at his office and it disappeared in moving. He was also said to have stated that he had pieces of the spaceship. At about 9:00 PM central time, on August 1, 2007, an object was observed in the sky over Plainfield Ill, that was traveling far in excess of the speed of any known aircraft. Two witnesses watched as it transversed the sky. It stopped suddenly at the half way point. There it remained motionless for a few seconds, then started to continue its flight again, suddenly it stopped and remained motionless for a few seconds, before accelerating to a fantastic speed and flying out of sight. The object was far in excess of the altitude of any aircraft. It was above the flight path for O'Hare Airport. After it disappeared, military planes began to appear in formation going in the same direction and airport traffic, which usually means a plane about every 30 seconds, seemed to stop for about 10 minutes. About 1 week before, an object flying in the same manner at about the same time, was observed by the same 2 people. The Mexican Air Force confirmed that it filmed 11 ufos over southern Campeche state in 2004. Air Force jets were surrounded by bright lights. The planes were using infrared equipment to detect drug smugglers and picked up the ufos on infrared. The ufos disappeared after the Air Force planes stopped trying to follow them. On July 30, 2007, a ufo was sighted over Burlington, Iowa. An oval shaped craft was sighted. It was described as being about 50 feet long and 40 feet wide, with a blue light on the bottom and was traveling about 500 feet above the ground. It was observed for about four seconds before it took off at a terrific rate of speed. Others have been reporting seeing blue lights in the area. On August 8, 2007, a ufo was said to have appeared over the Dominican Republic. A video said to be of the ufo has appeared all over the internet. On August 6, 2007 a video was said to have been made of a ufo sighting over Haiti. It looked like a powerful light in the sky, but a photo shows that it was clearly a flying disk. The observer had the presence of mind to take out his cell phone and record the flight of the object. Cattle mutilations are back in the news. On August 13, 2007, an investigation was made into cattle mutilation cases in La Pampa and western Buenos Aires, in Argentina. It was found that there have been over 300 unexplained cases. |
