Before I get into what is new in the world of ufo sightings, I have to wonder what is going on. We know that the French have decided to make all their ufo sighting reports public and the British are expected to follow soon. One has to wonder why, after all this time, that this is happening? Another thing, that I am sure, of that is in all the minds of those who are interested in these types of things is, are we really getting ALL the reports? Could it be that the real interesting ones, reports that show conclusively that something or someone is out there, are being held back? So far there is nary a whimper from the U.S. about releasing their sighting reports and it certainly doesn't look promising. Just witness all the attempts, in the last few years, of still trying to cover up the Roswell crash, an event from 60 years ago. If this is any indication of how the U.S. feels about ufo reports, we will never see the official ones from the government. I find this ironic, since we are supposed to be one of the freest countries in the world and yet we are becoming the most secretive, where ufos are concerned, but this seems to be a trend lately with everything.

In 1964 an Air Force photographer was taking photos of missile launches and also tracking them. This particular launch had something to do with anti missile testing. We know that today, the anti ballistic missile system is still far from perfected. Using superior lenses, the missile could be followed for quite a distance and an excellent image obtained. No one watched the screen after awhile and when the launch was finished, the film was taken back to be developed. The commanding officer called the photographer into his office later that day. There was a projector set up and three strange men present. He was ordered to watch the film. As he watched, a ufo flew next to the rocket. It circled the rocket and shone four bright flashes of light on it and then left. It was a classic saucer shape. with a dome on top. The warhead then malfunctioned and tumbled out of the sky. The commanding officer told the photographer, "Well, let's just say it never happened. You are to say nothing about this footage to anyone. As far as you and I are concerned, this never took place, you understand?" And then said, "But ... if at some time in the future, you are pressed by someone about this and you can't get out of answering, just tell them ... tell them it was flashes from laser tracking, O.K.?" The entire story has just been posted on a blog by the then Air Force Photographer.

What is going on in Cleveland and why do ufos seem to be flying over it so much? There are so many ufo sightings over Cleveland lately, that one investigator said that right now, Cleveland has more ufo investigators there than in any other place. Boy it must be crowded. Since two years ago when a truck driver reported seeing strange lights in the sky and followed them and residents reported the same sighting, twenty more sighting have been reported. That is twenty different events not twenty reports. One report stated that a ufo was seen near the airport. It was described looking like a dim and flashing a yellow and blue light. There has also been some military activity in the area as jets have been seen making high speed maneuvers. Does this have anything to do with the ufo sightings? I have no way of knowing.

One of the most famous of all ufo sightings was the 1980 sighting near the U.S. Air base at Rendlesham. The famous sighting occurred on the ground in Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk, in the U.K. and the witnesses were all U.S. military men. This report is going to be released along with all the other British ufo reports that date back to 1967. I can hardly wait to see the report in its entirety. No date has been set for the documents release, but it is expected to happen in the not to distant future, since the Ministry of Defense has stated that they believe that they can put the entire archive up in two weeks.

There is no doubt that since I wrote about the drought of ufo sightings about 8 or 9 months ago, ufo sightings have increased dramatically. It is almost as if there is a plan afoot to get as many people as possible to see ufos. By the way, I still have never seen one. Charlotte, North Carolina has had some interesting sightings this year. In January and February ufos were being seen singularly and in groups. One group contained fifteen machines. A group was again spotted a couple of weeks later in Russia. Was this the same group of saucers? In March a ufo was seen over New Delhi and it was making an ever increasing circular path until it suddenly vanished without a trace.

One of the reports of sightings from the newly released French ufo archive tells of a French farmer who had an encounter in 1950. He was busily inspecting his cows when a fiery ball fell from the sky. It landed and he could see that it was saucer shaped and transparent. Inside he could see a pilot who had on a spacesuit and helmet. A wave of energy hit the farmer and he became paralyzed and then the ship took off. He wasn't the only one to see a transparent saucer craft. In 1968, a Frenchman was gathering grass for his rabbits. He came across a transparent ufo and he could see that there were two small people inside, both wearing spacesuits and helmets. He described them as looking like the Michelin man and being about 3 feet tall. In 1967 one of these creatures was seen standing by the side of a road. A woman driving by stopped to look at him and he came over to her car and tapped on her window, but then ran into the bushes. Three of these aliens were seen by an observer using binoculars. He saw their transparent ship land and the three beings step out. But there was a problem, a poacher stepped out of the bushes and fired on them with a shotgun. The observer beat it out of the area and never knew the outcome.

On May 7, 2007, a press release came out that stated that former U.S. Government ufo working group members confirm extraterrestrial tales. It stated that a confidential report had come out that was authored by a company named Starstream Research and it claims that this company is a private provider of intelligence and analysis on futuristic defense issues. The report is said to state that the U.S. Government Intelligence Community is concerned about an alien extraterrestrial presence. Could this be true? Could the U.S. government be worrying about space aliens? If this is the case, then we know for sure that ufos are real.

A very interesting video is on YouTube. It is short, but has Buzz Aldrin talking about an encounter with a ufo while he was on Apollo 11. What makes this video even more interesting is the fact that the ufo is in the video, well not exactly the same ufo, but a similar one photographed by a different Apollo mission. A sighting from 30 years ago has just come to light. A man was walking his dog. He looked up and an object was hovering above him. On the side were the letters VAWCON. The man was interviewed by the RAF. He himself was a retired policeman. He had said that he saw a dome shaped structure that had colored lights on top. He also said that a telescopic probe appeared and at that point he ran away petrified. The sighting took place in England. One snide policewoman stated that maybe it was Santa on his sleigh. Is it no wonder that there are so many unreported ufo sightings? Mick Jagger hasn't been the same since he had a ufo sighting, at least that is what a book that came out a couple of years ago states. It claims that Jagger had gone camping in 1968 with his girlfriend in Glastonbury and they saw a luminous cigar shaped ufo.

A pilot flying over Guernsey saw a ufo on April 23, 2007. He reportedly witnessed bright yellow flat disks that were about twice the size of a Boeing 737. They were about 12 to 15 miles miles north east of the island. He reported that he was ""pretty shook-up". He went on to say that this was something that you don't see every day. Indeed. The Ministry of Defence stated that they were not going to carry out an investigation of these objects. Could it be that they already know about these objects? There is a report that is circulating all over the internet that purports to show a ufo close up and very clear in a photo attached to the article. It looks to me like the bottom part of a ceiling fan. The incident supposedly took place in April, 2007, in an undisclosed location. Supposedly a husband and wife were walking and saw a strange craft in the sky. A cell phone camera was said to have been used. That is another thing, if this was a cell phone camera, it must have been the best one ever made. Getting back to those newly released French ufo reports, an Airbus 320 pilot claimed that he saw a huge ufo in 1994, over the city of Paris. The flight crew also saw it and radar had picked it up for 50 seconds. The sighting was in daytime and lasted for over 9 minutes. Here is the part that puts the cream on top of the cake, He said that in the last 60 years there have been about 1,300 sightings of ufos by pilots and 15% of these are shown up on radar. There are a few things to remember here. That statement was made in 1994 but many sightings took place before radar came into common use for commercial planes.. Because of this, the earlier sightings couldn't have been confirmed by radar, since it was not in use. Another thing that we have to consider is the fact that only about 10% of pilots that see ufos, report them because of fear of ridicule, or loss of job.This would mean that there were really more like 13,000 sightings of ufos by pilots in that period.

Lastly, it has been reported that the U.S. Air Force has confirmed, in a document released under the Freedom of Information Act , that two strange spheres did crash in Bolivia in 1979. Is project Moon Dust really a program to pick up space debris that crashed to Earth, or was it really designed to recover crashed ufos?
