Here I am breaking my own rule by writing another ufo article right away, but some things are just too interesting to ignore. First of all here is a little review on the dvd Fastwalkers. In case you don't know, Fastwalkers is a new dvd that came out, that explores many avenues of ufos sightings, aliens and our government's attempts at hiding ufo information. It features about 20 talking heads and those of you that are familiar with the ufo scene will recognize most of these people immediately. Having said this, I have to say that many of the people have the highest degrees and are very well respected in their fields and others have been on the ufo scene forever. The opening session features Stanton Friedman of course. I did learn some things that I didn't know before, but I am not going to give anything away, I don't want those that haven't seen the dvd to have the experience lessened for them. By the way, Fastwalkers is the tern given to ufos that streak across the sky. The dvd is worth getting even if it doesn't live up to it's claimed overwhelming convincing evidence that ufos are real. It does present enough and rehashes enough to convince a lot of people.

I would like to tell you about an interesting story I came across. Some of you may already know about it, but it is so interesting that it is worth repeating. In the 800s, in France, it is said that a ufo crashed and that some, if not all, of the crew survived. They didn't look exactly like us, but the major difference was that they had big bulbous heads. A bishop in the area recorded their interactions with the local French at the time. In the beginning they seemed to get along with the locals and even began to trade with them. According to the bishop something went wrong and the local people got very angry at the aliens. Finally when the four aliens were walking along with some locals, an angry crowd gathered and began to throw stones at them. They kept this up until all the aliens were dead. Today there is no trace of them. Eight hundred years later the French government put out a coin with a ufo stamped into it. The coin has been studies for over 50 years and still remains unexplained. It was minted about 1680. There seems to be only one coin, I have seen no record of a second one ever being found. About the only thing that is known about it is that it is really not a coin but a jeton. A jeton was a sort of token that was used to help people learn how to count money or as a money substitute in games. There is an inscription on the piece that reads 'OPPORTUNUS ADEST' which means, "It is here at an opportune time".

It is claimed that there were hundreds of ufo crashes on this Earth and that at least 272 have been recorded. This sure doesn't instill confidence in these machines, does it? Another claimed crash was said to have taken place in the Grand Canyon, in the U.S. This was not a recent crash, but one that was said to have taken place over 4,000 years ago. This story goes on to tell us that the U.S. military sent a secret team to the crash site and even though the craft was ancient, it was still in good shape. It was said that the material it was made of was unknown to us, it was a sort of fabric covered with a metallic substance. It was said to emit low level radiation. Of course this object was removed immediately and secured in some secret location, perhaps Area 51 or one of the secret Air Force bases. Scientists were able to somehow use carbon dating to show when it landed and the tests showed that the year was around 2,000 B.C. The configuration of the ufo showed that it was capable of carrying anywhere from 16 to 20 beings. The beings were smaller than us and this could be witnessed by the way the craft was set up and they breathed the same atmosphere as us. Their craft was said to have been powered by nuclear energy and the steering was accomplished by some sort of magnetic system. Signs near the ship would seem to indicate that at least some of the crew survived and lived near the ship for the rest of their lives. The indigenous people made rock drawings that showed beings with large bulbous heads. Could these have been the same race that crashed in France 2,800 years later? I guess that two crashes in 2,800 years is not a bad record. The size of the craft was said to be about 102 feet long and about 48 feet wide. It is thought that the aliens all died out in about 50 years.

In 1989 it was said that the Russians actually managed to shoot down a ufo. It was said to have been flying near a city in Russia. It is said that the Russians tried to communicate with the object, but their attempts at communication were not acknowledged by the object. They then declared it hostile. Migs were sent up after it and then ordered to arm their weapons and bring down the intruder. Missiles were launched and a SAM hit the alien craft, knocking it out of the sky. Some say the object was a disk and others say it was one of those cigar shaped ships that we hear about once in a while. The description given by the witnesses would indicate that it was not a very large object, being only about 22-23 feet long and about 10 feet high. This would indeed describe a disk. The story goes on further to state that a team got to the wreck and some were subject to radiation exposure before measures were taken. Supposedly the wreck was taken to an Air Base. There was said to be 3 aliens on board. Two had been killed by being crushed by equipment and the third had been severely injured. The third alien died from his injuries as the medical team was not able to save it. A description of the aliens was as follows:
They were about 46 inches tall or slightly under 4 feet. Their bodies seemed to be covered with two layers of skin. The outer layer was gray and the inner layer was a bluish green and had the texture of a reptile. They had no hair, large black eyes and eyelids. The aliens had three webbed fingers on each hand.
It is said that these aliens are each preserved in a glass container in a secret underground facility. The craft is said to be at Kapustin Yar range and is underground.

There is a famous woodcut that depicts a space battle. What makes this even more amazing is that the battle is said to have taken place over Nuremberg Germany in 1561 A.D. This is known as the Hans Glaser woodcut and is said to have been carved to commemorate the event. On July 14, 1561, the people of Nuremberg came out of their buildings to watch as cylindrical ships above their heads engaged a fleet of ship's that were in the shape of Xs or crosses. Disks of all different colors emerged into the battle as it raged on. The people watched in horror as this ariel battle took place. It is said that the battle lasted for over an hour. The story goes on to state that many of these vehicles, or whatever they were, crashed all around the city. Was their a battle for control of the space above the Earth almost 500 years ago? It sure looks that way.

There are a few stories where ufos battled each other and some where they even shot each other down. It seems that there is at least one faction that doesn't get along. There are some stories that say that there is a race of reptiles that is at war with some of the humanoids. More of this can be read on the internet.
