Crazy things sometimes happen in this world of ours. There is a story about a recent event in the countryside in Russia. It was said that a very strange creature was caught by the fishermen in a village. It supposedly looked something like a shark, but with a strange face and made squeaking sounds. The fish was so different that the villagers took pictures of it with a cell phone, because some believed that they had caught an alien. When scientists heard of the catch they got very excited, but this quickly changed to disappointment when they found out that the villagers had eaten their catch. After seeing what this creature looked like, one can't help but wonder why people would eat it. They must have been very hungary or just didn't care. They knew that it was quite unusual or they wouldn't have taken a photo of it. You can't help but wonder what science might have discovered about this creature. While I don't think that it was an alien of any kind, I do think that it might have been some creature from a long gone era that was either thought to be extinct or not even known. It certainly seems to be in the shark family. I am not quite clear on what I am seeing exactly. What looks like a face to me might be a mouth with slits above it. A quick glance has you thinking that you are seeing eyes and a mouth and this could be correct.

As anyone knows that is familiar with my articles, I have an interest in strange happenings and what could be stranger than two clowns being shot dead in the middle of a circus performance. I guess I have to admit it, if the victims had been two supermarket employees or something like that, I certainly wouldn't have paid as much attention to this event, but they weren't, they were CLOWNS. Some people have a fear of clowns that stays with them their whole lives. This fear is known as Coulrophobia. It has always been a puzzle why so many people are scared of clowns. Don't get me wrong, I feel sorry for these two people, but a headline like this can't help but attract attention. Some people that really have a bad case of Coulrophobia might even cheer an event like this without giving any thought to the lives lost. Oh it is not their fault, it is the fear that has taken over.

Did you hear about the female teacher that was convicted of showing porn on a computer to her class? This seems to me to be another one of those sad stories where the innocent are convicted. Here is the way I heard the story. A substitute teacher went into a classroom for the first time. In the course of her teaching she used a desktop computer that had porn on it. She tried to stop it, but pop up pictures kept appearing. She said she couldn't pull the plug because she was told not to let anything happen to a roster that was on it and she was afraid that she would lose it. She left the classroom and went into the teacher's lunchroom and begged someone to help her. No one bothered and one teacher, it was said, told her not to worry about it, it happens all the time. When she got back to the classroom, many of the children were watching the pictures. Enraged parents called the school and the teacher was arrested and had a trial where much of the evidence that would have helped her was not admitted by the judge, such as the fact that this has happened before and the computers were old and so was the anti virus software. In fact it hadn't been updated in years. This poor woman is waiting to be sentenced and could get up to 10 years in jail. What is this country coming to?

This reminds me of the two border guards who are still in prison. Remember that case? They had caught a drug smuggler, with drugs, trying to sneak across the border and shooting ensued and he was wounded. Sounds like a clear cut case doesn't it? It turns out that the border guards didn't know the drug smuggler had been given immunity for testimony in some case or other. The two guards, even though they didn't do anything wrong, were put on trial. Again some judge withheld evidence from the jury that might have cleared them. They were convicted and are rotting in jail. We should be ashamed. To read more about this click this link.

A museum in Florida has put an ancient indian burial mound up for auction. The museum owns the property. This sure seems like a strange thing to auction off to me. I guess they are not scared of the curses that may accompany this sale, but wait, they have taken it off the auction block for a couple of months and are willing to sell it to someone who will preserve it. The mound is known as the Pillsbury Temple mound. The mound itself is believed to have been the burial location for a now extinct tribe. In 1963 147 remains were found in it during a partial excavation.

Who is Popo Bawa? You would know and fear the answer if you came from Dar es Salaam the main city in Tanzania where a demon that looks like a bat is said to be attacking men. One solution is to smear your body in pig oil, this is said to keep Popo Bawa away and everyone else I would assume. Another method for keeping the creature away is for men to sleep in large groups, I hope no one snores. You could build a giant fire and hope for the best as other men are doing. It is claimed that this creature first came from Zanzibar to work it's evil ways. In the village of Pemba Island in Zanzibar, when there is a Popo Bawa sighting, the people move outside their homes and start the biggest fire they can build and sleep around it. From what I hear it must work because old Popo hasn't gotten any of them that I know of.
