For many years after World War II people wondered if Hitler was still alive and just waiting to start up the Third Reich again. Oh, we heard that he had shot himself in that bunker, in Berlin, but by the same token there didn't seem to be any evidence of this fact. It wasn't until many years later that the Russians, who by the way were the first to reach the bunker, released a photograph of his corpse. This seemed to settle the matter for good, or did it?

As with most of these tyrannical leaders, Hitler had at least one double and it is thought that he had several. Someday history might be knocked on it's rear, if it is found that the last days of the war were directed not by Hitler, but by a double. What am I really saying here? I am saying that maybe Hitler wasn't even in the bunker, we just thought that his double was him. I know this sounds far out, but it could be true. Maybe Hitler enjoyed a long life somewhere in South America or even in the US under a different name. What if Hitler had plastic surgery before the war ended and had escaped already? Would this be such far out thinking for this madman? I mean, after all, being a raving dictator doesn't make you stupid.

There are still people that believe that Hitler lived many years after the war and that the photographs that were presented by the Russians were not only doctored but contained a Hitler look alike body. It is also claimed that the photos were printed backwards to confuse things even more and that background props were added, such as photos of Eva Braun. Non conspiracy theorists believe that things may have been moved around to create a greater effect, such as putting a photo on his chest of a female, presumably that of Eva. But how do we know that things were moved? The answer is simple, the Russians took movie film in the bunker and when we compare this to the still photos in the bunker, you can see that things were not in the same place.

Getting back to Hitler's doubles, it is said that he had as many as six. These doubles couldn't have fooled Goebbels because he was the one who hired them. If a double was replacing Hitler in the bunker, Goebbels knew about the plot. The next question is why were there photos of a dead 'Hitler' in the bunker when he ordered his body burned. It seems a little strange doesn't it? The photos had to come from the Germans because the Russians got there after the body was burned. Who knows, maybe these photos were taken months before and the whole thing was just a staged act and that is why things were in different places when the Russians arrived. It could even be that no one really died and the photos were of a living double playing dead. How about this, maybe the photos were of Hitler playing dead!

Hitler's nose has always been of great consequence to searchers of Hitler's doubles. Lets take a look at some of the photos of Hitler and his nose.

Are all these photos of the same person? If they are, how come Hitler's nose looks so different in some of them? The nose is especially wide in the two photos on the left. To me this looks like we are looking at at least three different people here.
