Apollo 11 landed the first men on the Moon
on Sunday, July 20, 1969, or did it? There are many people who believe
we NEVER landed on the moon and it was an elaborate hoax. In this forum
we will examine some of the evidence they have put forward. Of course,
as always, these are not necessarily my views.
In a recent article in U.S. News and World Report titled "Dark
side of the moon landing" by Avery Comarow, issue date August 26,
2002 - September 2, 2002 the author goes on to state that there are
many strange things about the landings such as the lack of stars in
any of the over 30,000 photos taken, a rippling flag on an airless moon,
no crater made on landing. Is he alone in these assumptions? No, believe
me, you will see that there is no lack of purported evidence in this
case.

Last Year CNN aired a program about the moon landings
and questioned NASA about them. Specifically they asked if we really
landed on the moon and the answer from NASA was YES. The theorists point
to supposed oddities in NASA moon shots to boost their claim. Among
the most prominent: The US flag should not be waving. Camera cross hairs
should not be behind lunar features in the distance. Stars should be
in the background. NASA, as expected, dismissed this saying if we had
not landed there wouldn't have been any moon rocks brought back. (Not
the best answer)

Bart Sibrel was decked by Buzz Aldrin when
he demanded Aldrin swear on a bible, in front of a camera crew, that
he walked on the moon Sibrel insists the landing never took place and
has made a video called "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the
Moon". He claims he has evidence footage from the Johnson Space
Center. He says the footage shows Apollo 11 astronauts faking footage
of earth from the back window of their capsule. He says they were using
a "crescent piece of black material" to hide the fact that
they only traveled HALFWAY to the moon.

When the Apollo capsule landed in the ocean, a frog
man opened up the portal to throw in quarantine suits thus destroying
the integrity of the quarantine Could it be it was know that the quarantine
wasn't necessary because no one had been to the moon? Many wonder how
the astronauts survived their trip through the Van Allen Belt. It is
suggested that the radiation there is so lethal that no human could
live through it. No probe to the moon as yet detected anything we left
behind.

In June of 2001 British television aired
a program on channels 4 and 5 expressing doubt about whether the Americans
ever went to the moon. The programs were viewed by millions of Britons.
Experts in their fields expressed their conviction that the NASA moon
landing in 1969 was actually a clever hoax, a sort of American Cold
War public relations stunt of huge proportions filmed, according to
those on the show, somewhere in a remote desert in the United States.

or dust on the rock
A section of the program was dedicated to analyzing NASA photographs,
which curiously depict shadows that are inconsistent with the direction
of the sunlight. The program clearly proved that shadows in the photographs
fall at different angles and at different lengths in the same pictures,
as though illuminated by more than one light source close to the scene.
Had they actually been on the moon, of course, this would have been impossible
as there was no other light source other than the sun. Some photographs
taken of the astronauts facing in the shadows are illuminated as if by
fill-in lighting.
Experts quoted on the show pointed out that the moon pictures were
perfectly framed and exposed even though the cameras used had no viewfinder
or exposure meter and were strapped to the astronauts' chests. |

This official NASA picture is strange indeed.
Notice how the flag is flapping in the wind, when we all know there
is no air on the moon, therefore no wind.

An official NASA picture showing an extremely
bright flag, in a perfect picture. Why is the flag so bright, even brighter
than the reflective gold foil on the lander?

Photos
Notice the 'C' carved into this lunar rock. Many people think this
rock was a prop that was erroneously placed upside down. A strange thing
has happened, when you get the picture from NASA now, you get the bottom
picture without the 'C' and the crosshairs seem to be different.

Since the sun should be the only source
of light on the moon, it is strange to find pictures that seem to show
reflections from a close up light source.
