Well folks, you never know where a haunting is going to take place. Those of us that have been married for awhile and have made those several trips a day to find toilets for the little lady when we are out, may find that it is no surprise that a female ghost would haunt a toilet. Whether the spirit would have any use anymore for the facility is in doubt. The tale I am about to tell you is said to have taken place in England in a pub, more specifically in the bathroom. It seems that you are not safe from ghosts even in the can. This just shows how unthoughtful some of them can be.

The pub was not too different than any other pub in England. It is just a pub, a very ordinary pub, so why would anything from the after life want to hang out there? It doesn't seem that anything ever happened in the pub that was of great consequence, such as a murder or death. At least this was never made known as far as I can find. The owner of the pub is said to have been investigating what he though was a burglar in the establishment late at night. He had heard noises and went into the bar area to investigate. He began his search by checking the doors which he found to all be locked. Next he went and checked the windows, they were also locked. As he began to walk through the pub and got by the bathroom area he just about ran into a woman. This was no ordinary woman, this was an elderly woman who was dressed in white with silvery hair. He looked at her face and then his hair stood on end. Instead of a face, she only had half of a face.

The owner of the pub was terrified. He got out of the area as fast as he could. He had really been creeped out. He called the police who came to his establishment. They asked him what happened and he explained the entire story to them including the part of about the ghostly woman, the half faced woman. I am sure they must have been laughing inside as he told his tale, but they didn't laugh too long. The police went through the pub and finally landed up in the lady's toilet. As they stood there looking around, the toilets began to flush. The flush handles actually went up and down but no one was there except themselves. One of the policemen went out to the pub owner and asked him if he had some sort of automatic toilets. His answer was a resounding NO. The flushing went on for over five hours and the police were witnessed to it. As the police searched for signs of entry they found none that would indicate that any doors or windows had been opened, except for one so tiny that no one could have fit through it, yet all the tvs had gone on and all alarms were tripped. Something very strange was going on here.

A paranormal researcher had heard about what had happened in the pub and decided to look into the matter. He said that he normally didn't pay much attention to the stories of haunted pubs, but since this one had police witnesses, he just had to investigate, after all it was not everyday that someone had a paranormal experience that was backed up by the police. The building the pub was located in was being refurbished. Whether this had anything to do with the appearance of the spirit is unknown at this time. An investigation was conducted into all deaths in the area of the pub by the researcher who stated that while he was in a trance he found out and that a woman was murdered just about where the pub was built. She was a traveler in the nineteenth century and was brutally murdered by a man wielding a hoe. I am not to sure that Trance Evidence is too reliable but here you have it.

Apparently this is one pub owner that didn't want ghosts in his pub. He was truly shaken up. He then reported that lately, he has had a lot of strange things happening in the pub's basement. Barrels were seen moving on their own, his refrigerator defrosted while still on, bottles have been found smashed and his gas pressure started failing intermittently. All these things truly bothered the owner but I guess he would have felt foolish reporting them so he just kept this to himself until the sighting.

The pub owner has decided to have an exorcism performed on the pub to get the ghost out of the toilet, after all would you want to go into a toilet while a lady ghost was in there? I THINK NOT!

Originally I had thought of calling this article the ghost that came out of the water closet but thought better of it.
