Examples Of Modern Day Miracles Part 2

There was an atheist couple who had a child. The couple never told their daughter anything about the Lord. One night when the little girl was 5 years old, the parents fought with each other and the dad shot the Mom, right in front of the child. Then, the dad shot himself. The little girl watched it all. She then was sent to a foster home. The foster mother was a Christian and took the child to church. On the first day of Sunday School, the foster mother told the teacher that the girl had never heard of Jesus, and to have patience with her. The teacher held up a picture of Jesus and said, "Does anyone know who this is?" The little girl said, "I do, that's the man who was holding me the night my parents died." A young man who had been raised as an atheist was training to be an Olympic diver. The only religious influence in his life came from his outspoken Christian friend. The young diver never really paid much attention to his friend's sermons, but he heard them often. One night the diver went to the indoor pool at the college he attended. The lights were all off, but as the pool had big skylights and the moon was bright, there was plenty of light to practice by. The young man climbed up to the highest diving board and as he turned is back to the pool on the edge of the board and extended his arms out, he saw his shadow on the wall. The shadow of his body, was in the shape of a cross. Seeing that image created such an unusual and strong response that instead of diving, he knelt down and finally asked God to come into his life. As the young man stood, a maintenance man walked in and turned the lights on. The pool had been drained for repairs. Source: http://religion.krishna.org/Articles/2000/08/00097.html

In 1982 many school children from an elementary school in Luzon, the Philippines saw a vision. A little girl sitting in the school's playground saw a vision in the sky of Mary. Mary had a baby in her arms and an old man standing next to her. The little girl wasn't the only one to see this, may other children saw it also. Along with the children a teacher had also seen the vision. The children described the vision as Mary dressed in a gown with a gold crown. The children had also seen angels with golden hair dressed in long gowns and one of them was holding a key. The teacher said she was compelled to kneel down without having control of her actions.

In Rincon, Puerto Rico in 1994 visitors to the Santa Rosa de Lima church saw tears coming from the statue of the Virgin Mary. The statue has continued to cry to this day with some church goers claiming cures from illness.

There is a statue of Our Lady of lourdes in a Carmelite Convent in Diego Martin in Trinidad that is weeping tears of blood. It was reported in the papers that the statue first began to weep in 1996. The blood, after being tested, proved to be human or so the press stated. Investigations of this phenomenon are being carried out by the Archbishop.

An icon of our Lady of Guadeloupe at Guadeloupe's Shrine in Northern Mexico City has a miraculous feature. In the eyes of the image of the Virgin of Guadeloupe are microscopic figures. The figures are not visible to the human eye, except for one that of the Spaniard, which is the largest and it is believed that no one could have painted them since they are so tiny. This is not a painting and no one has been able to discover how the image was stamped on. The figures that appear in the eyes are a virtually naked servant; an elderly man (Bishop Friar Juan de Zumárraga); a youth - the interpreter; an Indian with a tilma (Juan Diego); a black woman (a slave); a bearded Spaniard; and, lastly, an Indian family including father, mother, three children and two more adults, who could be grandparents or uncles. Peruvian scientist José Aste Tonsmann, an expert at International Business Machines in the digital processing of images began investigating this phenomena twenty-two years ago. He decided to investigate the presence of other figures reflected in the Virgin's eyes and, in fact, found the twelve.
