Examples Of Modern Day Miracles Part 1

What qualifies as a miracle? Is it something truly unusual or unexplainable, or is it something that leads us to think of Divine intervention? Sometimes miracles show up in places where we never thought to look. A good example of this was the earthquake that struck Kobe, Japan, on January 17, 1995. What was so unusual about this quake besides the fact that over 5000 people died? As reported by a Japanese newspaper, Yomiuri Shimbun, many of the deceased had very peaceful looks on their face. How could this have been in the midst of all this violent wrenching of the earth and building collapses? Only God knows the answer to this question.

Uganda is one of the hardest hit countries with AIDS. The faithful met and prayed often in a little church in Kampala. Since these prayers started over 400 people have been completely cured of the AIDS virus. When tested these people were completely free of all signs of the virus. That's right it was not just arrested but completely erased.

There is a town in Mexico called Tlacote that attracts people by the thousands. What is this attraction based on? It is claimed that the water in this town has healing powers. Lines of people await their turn to drink the water, these lines sometimes stretching to over 10,000 people a day. The water comes from a well owned by Jesus Chahin. When the water was tested by the state health department it was found to be normal but unexplainably weighs less that other water. The healing powers of the water were discovered when a farm dog lapped some of it and was cured from his illness. The Washington Post newspaper ran a story on this water.

In December of 1992, The Guardian, UK, ran a story of a six inch high statue of Mary that wept tears of blood. The statue is owned by a woman in Santiago Chile. According to the article, the liquid coming from the eyes of the statue was tested by the Santiago Coroner's office and found to be genuine human blood. The statue weeps on a regular basis and especially in front of children. The church has not taken a position one way or the other on this phenomenon.

The circle of light miracle is one of the newest types of miracles noted. They appear mostly on the sides of houses but have appeared in other places and have appeared in many locations in the U.S. Many have appeared in the same place for years while others appear for only a little while and then vanish never to appear again. It reported that one appeared on a man's shirt and when he went into his house the circle of light was still on his shirt. Another man reported that he was in a restaurant and when he looked out the window he saw a circle of light on the side of a bus which passed by. What are these circles and where do they come from, no one knows? It has been reported that when people meditate near them they grow brighter.

There is a Lebanese girl who is very unusual. It seems she actually weeps crystal tears. She has doctors baffled. She produces about 7 tears a day. She states that she is in no pain even though the tears are as sharp as glass. Her father wants to send her to a specialist in America or Europe for further examination. Another girl living in Algeria is crying tears of colored threads. She too experiences no pain.

A team of Dutch research doctors conducted a study of 344 heart attack survivors and found that more than one in 10 of them had experienced "emotions, visions, or lucid thoughts" while they were considered "clinically dead", meaning that they were unconscious with no signs of pulse, breathing or brain activity at the time. Some of them reported having "out-of-body" experiences. The survey itself took two years to conduct and is the largest study to-date on the NDE phenomenon. The team believes that this proves the existence of a soul.

What is the cross of light? It is a phenomena that is taking place all over the world. Glowing crosses are appearing in glass everywhere. There are reports that people who have experienced the cross of light in their homes have changed their outlook on life and feel serine and better about themselves. Dr. Chang noticed that patients in his hospital were recovering at a much faster rate and couldn't understand why. Then, while one of Dr Ching's associates, Nieves Taguinog, was locking up at the clinic one night, she noticed a cross on one of the windows. To make absolutely sure Ms Taguinog waited until the next night to see the cross again before telling Dr Ching. More crosses were discovered in neighboring houses. In Copper Ridge Baptist Church there is a large cross of light. "You cannot take a photo inside the church without that white glow in the picture used to have weddings in there but people complain since the crosses came, that the light is in every photo!"
