Instructions For Putting Our Icon On You Desktop

Wouldn't it be nice to have our icon on your desktop? All you would have to do, to go to the About Facts site, would be to click the icon after you were connected to the internet. Well here is what you do, it is very simple:

You must have Windows XP on your computer before installing the icon. It may work with other versions of windows but I haven't tried it. To my friends with Apples, sorry but I don't have an icon for you.

Download my custom icons, the link is on the home page with the screen savers. You don't have to use them all if you don't want to. There is one in the package that is for About Facts Net. After they are downloaded, unzip them.

There are two icons you can use, here is what they look like:

Microsoft Internet Explorer:

1. Bookmark the About Facts Net site.
2. Go to the Favorites Menu and click on Organize Favorites. Make sure that the browser is smaller than the screen.
3. Select the About Facts entry and copy it to the desktop by dragging it there using the right mouse button.
4. Right click on the icon and select properties from the drop down menu.
5. Select Change Icon.
6. Use the Browse button to go to the directory you downloaded the About Facts Icon into and select it from the unzipped folder that it is in and click apply.

That is all to it. Just click it to go to the website when you are connected to the internet.

Firefox:

1. Bookmark the About Facts Net site.
2. Go to the Bookmarks Menu and click on Manage Bookmarks. Make sure that the browser is smaller than the screen.

Follow steps 3-6 above.
