Mars Hoax - We now have many sites saying the probes
to Mars are a phony. For proof they offer the pictures taken of mountain
sides and claim to de mask them. In so doing they state that you can
see that these are props.

Cydonia Cover up - This is one of my favorites. The
Cydonia region of Mars is very interesting. When the Viking probe
took pictures of the area we were able to see, what looked like, a
giant face. Along with this face there seemed to be ruins and pyramids.
When revisited years later, NASA took more pictures and the face disappeared
into a rough plateau. Many claim that the pictures were altered and
much of the information were left out of them. They way they did this
is by loading the picture into an art program. They claim that NASA
pictures were taken in 256 shades of gray but the art program shows
that only 16 shades are showing, therefore the other shades were eliminated
making the features on the picture indistinct.

There are a couple of different conspiracy theories
connected with the SR-71:
Theory 1 - Since the SR-71 was built in the early 1960
and embodies technologies that were never seen before, including blistering
speed, many say that the technology came from captured ufos. The plane
was so advanced that it still holds many speed records even though
it was retired from service. It is very hard to explain how this plane
came about but the designer, Kelly Johnson was a brilliant man who
designed many advanced aircraft. He stated that they had to invent
many new materials just to make this plane a realization.
Theory 2 - Since the SR-71 is still so advanced and
since it holds many of the world's speed records the only reason it
would be retired is if we had something better, namely the Aurora.
The Aurora is supposedly a space plane that is capable of going into
low orbit and also operating as any normal plane would. There is also
a rumor that it might be a ram jet capable of traveling about 15 times
the speed of sound. A company even put out a model of it, fueling
the rumors even further.

Roswell - The greatest conspiracy theory of them all.
I think we are all familiar with this one. It says that aliens crash
landed in Roswell, New Mexico, and the government sent the army to
cover it up. The newspapers had originally carried a story that a
saucer had crashed there but the next day it was changed to a weather
balloon because an Army General showed balloon wreckage to the reporters.
There was also talk of, and a film showing, the autopsy of what was
supposed to be an alien. This conspiracy theory seems to grow theory
stronger every day. Poor explanations by the military haven't helped
matters.

The shooting of President John F. Kennedy. I could go
into how many shots were fired and how many shooters there were as
all these things are still being discussed today. But the part of
the theory I want to talk about is who wanted Kennedy killed. There
is a theory that states that because of the actions of Edward Kennedy,
John's brother who was the Attorney General, the mob had John killed
and later had Edward killed. There has never been any evidence that
was available to the public to indicate this, but Jimmy Hoffa swore
he would get Edward Kennedy when he was sent to prison. When Hoffa
disappeared we had another mystery.
The hidden government conspiracy
- There has long been talk of a powerful group of people who really
control the governments of many countries. In this country it has
been said, most recently, that the Carlyle Group really runs the government.
The Carlyle group is an organization of former world leaders and Washington
insiders. Some of its members are:
George Bush Sr., former secretary of defense Carlucci, former secretary
of state Baker, budget advisor Darman, former president of the Philippines
Ramos and former Prime Minister of England Major.
Other groups have also been said to be running the country. Majestic
12 is supposedly a secret organization that is involved with anything
to do with UFOs. It is said they don't even report to the president.
Just recently Stanton Freeman, noted physicist and ufo investigator
found an original document that seemed to verify the existence of
this organization.
Terrorist theory - This theory states that the current
administration knows where Usama Bin Laden and Sadam Hussein are but
doesen't want to capture them yet because it is waiting until the
time is closer to the election to boost the president's standings
in the polls.
We could talk about these theories all day. There are
so many we could easily fill a large web site. If you like conspiracy
theories make sure you see the movie with Mel Gibson called, of all
things, Conspiracy Theory. The good part of all this is that there
sometimes seems to be a glimmer of truth. It is usually just enough
to make you wonder. I'm not saying it exists in all the theories,
but it certainly does in a few. For example lets look at the Roswell
theory. It seems to any reasonable person that something crashed
in Roswell. I am not saying it was a UFO, but it seems that an experienced
intelligence officer like Jesse Marcel would know what a wrecked balloon
looked like. When you see the picture of the wreckage is there anyone
who after looking at it, doesn't realize that its not from a ufo?
So enjoy your conspiracy theories and remember a lot
of them may contain a spark of truth.
