What is going on at the national archives? Reports have come out that many different federal agencies are pouring over old records at the national archives that date back over 50 years and pulling some of them out. They seem to be taking records out of the public purview for reasons unknown. Is there some sort of record trail that would lead to something that they don't want us to see? It sure looks that way. It makes one wonder what could be of value that is so old? Could it be old ufo documents? From what I have read, it is believed to be records of all different types. Maybe this has something to do with preventing terrorist attacks. There may be records out there that outline the workings of nuclear plants and such that we don't want to fall into unfriendly hands. A reporter stated that he saw some of the documents being removed and that it made no sense. He claims that some were reports on the Korean War and others even more useless to anyone. He further stated that many of these documents have been copied and appear in other places.

Why did the ancient Egyptians decide on mummification? It is believed that they first buried their dead in the sand in a fetal position and that the natural forces of the desert dried out the bodies preserving them. The Egyptians may have noticed this and felt that it was a good thing because they felt that their bodies would exist forever. Ancient mummified bodies of the dried type have been found many times in Egypt.

An interesting law has been passed in Japan. It is now illegal to sell second hand electronic devices. Yeah you heard me right. The law was passed to hinder terrorism. How does it accomplish this you might ask? Well you are not alone, everyone is asking the same question. The law goes into effect on April 1, 2006. You can't help but notice that this is April Fools Day. The law will forbid the sale of any electronic device manufactured before 2001. Is this law really intended to hurt terrorism or is it merely a way to sell more electronic devices to the world? I will leave the conclusion to you.

There is a certain type of wasp that likes to swoop down and sting roaches. The sting doesn't kill the roach. The roach will lay there for awhile paralyzed, then a strange thing happens. The roach will now do what ever the wasp wants it to. The wasp usually takes it by the leg and leads it to the wasp's nest, the roach obediently following. It is led to a spot in the nest where it is to stay and it does so willingly. The next thing to happen is that the wasp lays eggs inside the roach and when the young hatch they feed off the roach. The question here is why does the roach do what the wasp directs it to?

Everyone knows that movies aren't free, or are they? I am not talking about down loading movies illegally. There are some movies that are free. No I am not talking about amateur movies here, but famous Hollywood movies. So how could they be free? There used to be a law that stated that a certain copyright notice must appear at the beginning of the movie for the owners to retain their rights to the movie. As hard as it is to believe, this notice was left off of some movies and they fell into the public domain. If you want to have some fun, do a search for public domain movies, you never know what you might turn up.

Evolution, contrary to what a lot of people believe, is not a new idea. Actually the ancient Greeks discovered that different species changed over long periods of time. This knowledge seems to have been lost to the Medieval Europeans. When they found a fossil they each formed their own idea of what it was and where it came from. Medieval Europeans even formed collections of these objects that were often mislabeled.

I guess many of us know this already, but for those that don't I am going to repeat this story. An ex-marine has stated that he was part of the team that captured Saddam Hussein. He states that Saddam was not hiding in a hole as was previously stated in the news. He goes on further to state that actually Saddam was not even captured on the date that has published, but on December 12, 2003. Supposedly Saddam was in a comfortable home and when the marines attacked it, even Saddam was shooting back at them. It is claimed that a military production team set up the story about Saddam being captured while hiding in a hole.

It looks like the proponents of nuclear space ships, no matter how dangerous and polluting, may be winning. NASA has all sorts of nuclear ships on the drawing board. This is nothing new however, nuclear reactors have been launched for years now, with some of them even crashing to earth. Parts of a Canadian forest were polluted when a Soviet nuclear vehicle crashed there years ago. Is nuclear power the only way to achieve the speed we need? Many say no.

A mono wheel was invented in 1869. It was a bicycle but the term wasn't known then. What made it so strange was the fact that you rode on a unicycle that had two out rigger arms with little wheels at the ends that rode inside one huge hollow wheel that was more like a huge round rail that the unicycle wheel fitted over along with the outrigger wheels. It had no steering and sure must have been hard to balance.

The James Randi Educational Foundation still has the million dollars it put up as a challenge to anyone that could prove that the paranormal, supernatural or occult actually existed. It is beginning to look like it will never be won. This is sad news for all those out there that believe that spirits roam the earth or that some people have the power to communicate with the dead.

Sometimes things have a way of working out. There was a boy in Italy that had a very sick and frail mother. She was so sick that she couldn't even nurse her baby, so she had to get a wet nurse. This was not so unusual in 1475. The wet nurse belonged to a family of stone cutters and the child was Michelangelo Buonarroti, better know as just Michelangelo, the most famous sculptor the world has ever known.
