Email Received By About Facts Net

About Facts Net receives some interesting mail from time to time. Unfortunately for the senders much of it asks for help in areas that this site is just not equipped to deal with. The names of the senders are secret but I thought that the content of some of the mail might be interesting to some of my readers. The topics of the mail ranges from friendly comments to the paranormal and strange experiences.

One email I received told a strange story about seeing a ghost when someone was dared to stay overnight in a house that was thought to be haunted. The person stated that they didn't believe in ghosts and only stayed in the house on a dare. They had taken some items with them to make their stay more comfortable because the house had been abandoned for many years. They decided that they needed a sleeping bag to keep warm, a powerful light that ran on batteries and a book so that they would have something to read during what they thought would be an uneventful night, oh and a Thermos full of hot coffee. They went into the house during the daytime and found it to be drafty because many of the windows were broken, and dirty with cob webs were in many places. As it began to get dark they settled into their sleeping bag, put on the light and began to read. Every thing was fine for a few hours and the book went away, the light was turned out and they went to sleep. This is when things began to happen. They were woken up by a strange creaking sound. It sounded like it was coming from the stairs. They turned on the powerful light and shined it on the staircase and nothing was there. They thought that it was just the old house settling. They turned the light off and immediately heard the creaking again. They decided to investigate. They turned the light on and went to the staircase. There was nothing in sight. They went up slowly to the top floor that contained three bedrooms and noticed a soft light coming from one of the rooms. Slowing they entered the room and there in the corner of the room was a soft light in the shape of a person hovering in the corner. At this point they decided to beat a hasty retreat out of the house. They were writing to me to tell me of their experience as they were now convinced that ghosts exist and wanted me to know it.

Another email about a paranormal experience talked about people walking in the woods in one of our northern states. It was late and they decided to make camp. They had made themselves a nice meal over the open fire and decided to settle in for the night. They set up a tent with two sleeping bags in it. It wasn't long before they went to sleep. They hadn't even been asleep for an hour when they were awoken by scratching on the outside of their tent. They became very scared thinking that a bear might be out there. They remained very still as the scratching continued. It went from one side of the tent to the other. Finally it stopped after about 5 minutes. They said that this was the longest 5 minutes of their life. They decided to go outside and carefully look around. Slowly they came out of the tent but there didn't seem to be anything there. Then they froze, there was something that looked like a woman wearing a white dress floating about two feet off the ground. She began to slowly drift toward them. They didn't wait for her to get to them. They ran for their lives.

A gentlemen, who had taken photos of ufos wrote to me and kindly sent me some more of his photos. I am always interested in this type of thing. I had a good time analyzing them. He wanted to make the point clear that even though there were articles about him seeing the ufo, that he never said that it was a vehicle from another planet, just that it was an unidentified flying object. I understand that point fully. We actually have no way of knowing what ufos really are until we get our hands on one and the government makes their finding public. Of course if ufos are from the government, we will never know anything and if the government decides to keep their findings secret, again we will know nothing. UFO mail always seems to be interesting. I have gotten email from people who want to tell me about their sightings. It seems that flying triangles are becoming more common. If you look at the ufo sites you will see that more flying triangles are being sighted every year.

Theories are big in my email. I get email describing different theories on different things from time to time. I have gotten email on antigravity theories that state that it has really been perfected and that the government is hiding that fact. This is not so far fetched since antigravity has been experimented with for at least 25 years with small successes being shown. It is entirely possible that a break through could have happened. I have also gotten email on things like theories on time. I actually got one email on a theory that was many pages long. I never quite understood what the person was talking about but I gave it my best try.

I get many emails from people crying out for help that think that they are being watched or monitored by different agencies. The mail usually goes on to state that they are being bombarded by rays of some sort that penetrate their minds and all their thoughts are being read. Sometimes the emails state that all their communications are being monitored and that they have no where to turn to for help. This type of email always makes me sad for obvious reasons. With all the news lately pointing at the monitoring of U.S. citizens, this type of email has increased. Even if this were true, I don't see what I would ever be able to do to help anyone?

Not all the email I receive makes sense. I received one today from a lady that said thanks for the great time last night, Love XXX. Thank goodness I was home with my wife all night or I never would have heard the end of this one. Of course I also get many emails asking me to join up with other sites or list their links along with the usual criminal email telling me to click on certain links if I want to keep my PayPal account or credit card. Then there is the virus email. This site receives about 20-25 email viruses every day and the numbers are growing. This is a sad commentary on the internet, indeed.

I have to admit I like getting email from my readers and most of the time find it very interesting. I answer every email I receive, even though some may find my answers do not satisfy their requests, but I do the best I can.
