We, as Americans living on the continent of North America, have a blank time in our past that we know very little about. What we do know is that spotty evidence is said to have been found that shows that different races came here thousands of years ago from far off lands. There are rumors that many different ancient races came here and that evidence of their visits may be found by what they left behind. An example of this are the anchor stones found off the coast of California. These are heavy stones with a hole cut in them for a rope to be put through. For a long time these stone were thought to be just ordinary, but no one could figure out the process that created the holes. Later it was found that the ancient Chinese used this exact type of stone as an anchor for their ships. It seems that the Chinese may have visited this continent quite a few times when we examine the amount of these anchor stones. The mystery is why were the stones left behind and not hauled up when the ships left.

There are other mysteries that are said to be in the realm of conspiracy. An example of this is the find that was supposedly made in Death Valley that was kept secret. Not only was it said to be kept secret, but there is a rumor out there that states the secret is being kept by the Smithsonian for unknown reasons. What possible reason could they have for keeping any archeological find secret? Could it be that something was found and maybe it had more to do with aliens or ufos than Egyptians? Be that as it may, it has been said that these people were not Egyptians but giants. Yes you heard me right, giants. A newspaper in 1947 wrote about the discovery and claimed that there were 32 caves discovered in Arizona and in these caves were the bodies of "people" who were 8 to 9 feet tall. They were dressed in animal skins and yet no identification of the types of animals the skin came from could be made. It was said that the reason that this story was buried by the museum was because the giants didn't fit into the theory of evolution and would have screwed up the theory.

Here is the other side of the coin. There is a story that the cave contained ancient Egyptian bodies and they may be of famous people. It was said that they fled Egypt when Cleopatra committed suicide and Mark Anthony was defeated and that at least one was related to the great queen. It was also said that high priests came along and they prepared resting places for themselves for the afterlife and when the caves were found they not only contained the bodies of these people, but they were highly decorated in the Egyptian tradition. It seems a little strange to me that the Egyptians would have come so far inland when they landed on North America, but I guess if you look at it from a non bias point of view, Death Valley might have been very Egyptian like to them. So what was found in the caves, was it giants or ancient Egyptians? If I were asked, I would have to say that it was not ancient Egyptians, because that would have given no reason to have kept the discovery secret. Was it giants? I think that might have been possible, but that it was more likely that something else was found, something that really upset the government and something they felt just couldn't be known about.

Walking Through Ancient Ruins In Egypt

When we go back even further we have to think about Boston. Boston, what the heck is this guy talking about? I only mention Boston as a reference point because there is something very strange only 40 miles from the city. I wonder how many of you know what I am talking about? There is a megalith located there that no one knows anything about. On a hillside that takes in over 30 acres you will find walls and very primitive buildings that look more like caves than structures. There are also tunnels that have been dug. They seem to be very random and one archeologist called them disorderly. The area is named Mystery Hill and is believed to be very ancient. A feature of this site that one can't miss is a huge, flat stone that was placed on four legs. There is what is though to be blood grooves that allow the blood of a sacrifice to run off. What or maybe who was sacrificed is not known. The people who used the hill also are not known. A shaft was built under the stone that extended for about eight feet. It is reminiscent of shafts built in ancient temples that allowed priests to project their voices outside and scare the crowds. The name of the area is Mystery Hill. This is another of those mysterious places where stones weighing several tons were moved around and lifted. Carbon found at the site has been dated at 2,000 B.C.

Where did all those furnaces come from that are found in places like Ohio, Michigan and other areas such as Arizona and New Mexico? They are even found much further east in Virginia and Georgia. First of all, I would like to make it clear what they were exactly. They were ancient iron furnaces and as you can see, they dot North America. It turns out that some 2,000 years ago and even earlier in some places, there were ancient people creating iron implements in this country. Some had claimed that explorers from places like Europe had reached North America hundreds of years before Columbus started his voyage and while they were here, they smelted iron. This doesn't seem to be the case since there are too many of these iron furnaces all across the country. It is much more likely that ancient man built them. Where the people disappeared to may never be known. Not only that, but as I said before some of these furnaces are so old that predate the time of Jesus.

Here is a question for you, did the Romans ever reach North America? Funny you should ask, because there was a find made in Mexico, in the Toluca Valley. It was a Roman bust. Had the Romans gotten here about 1,200 years before columbus? The answer might just be that the Romans discovered North America, who knows? They were certainly capable of this. The bust has been dated as being 1,800 years old. That would mean that the Romans arrived here about 200 A.D. If you think that this is strange, look at Ecuador. In 3,000 B.C. the pottery of Valdivia culture in Ecuador was very similar to that of the Joman culture of Japan and some archeologists believe that there was contact between both cultures at that time.

Were we visited in ancient times by people from the far corners of the Earth? We are constantly underestimating the capabilities of ancient peoples. The more we find out about them, the more we begin to realize that they were not as backwards as we imagined they were and indeed, really not backwards at all. It is turning out that their technology was better than we first thought and it was just fate that stopped people like the ancient Greeks, from realizing that they could develop a steam engine because they already had the basics. Yes the ancients were smart and many different races were capable of getting to this continent if they were willing to endure the hardships of ocean travel in ancient ships.
